Los Angeles Rams Select Utah S Terrell Burgess In Third Round, 104th Overall Pick In 2020 NFL Draft

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Los Angeles Rams picked former Utah safety Terrell Burgess in the third round, 104th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Burgess was the fourth Utah player to be selected in the Draft.
The former Utah safety is headed to Los Angeles to join a defense that had a 9-7 record in 2019.
Terrell Burgess’ Collegiate Career
The San Marcos, California native appeared in four games with three starts as a freshman in 2016.
Burgess played in all 13 games in 2017 on special teams with four games and one start on defense. He finished with 18 tackles and one tackle for loss.
As a junior in 2018, Burgess appeared in all 14 games with nine games on defense that included two starts. He recorded 16 tackles and three pass breakups.
Last season in 2019 as a senior, Burgess took advantage of his opportunity to start and ran with it, finishing with 81 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, six passes defended, five pass breakups and one interception in 14 starts at strong safety. Burgess was named a Pac-12 Honorable Mention.

He measured the following at the NFL Scouting Combine:
Height: 5’11
Weight: 202 lbs.
Arms: 29 1/2″
Hands: 9 1/4″
At the Combine, Burgess recorded the following results:
40-yard Dash: 4.46 seconds
Bench Press: 20 reps
Vertical Jump: 33.5 inches
Broad Jump: 122 inches
