LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men’s basketball head coach Craig Smith thanked Aggie fans and the school’s student section for their “tremendous support” of his team “all year.”

Smith tweeted his thanks along with a picture taken during the postgame celebration after the Aggies won the 2020 Mountain West Conference tourney.

“Hard to believe this was six weeks ago. Thanks USU HURD and Utah State fans for your TREMENDOUS support all year!” Smith wrote. “What a season! What a TEAM! #SpectrumMagic #champs2020”

Prior to the NCAA’s cancellation of the 2020 men’s basketball championship tournament, Smith’s team earned an automatic berth to the tourney by upsetting No. 5 San Diego State to win the Mountain West in back-to-back seasons.

The Aggies ended the season with a 26-8 record including 12-6 in conference play.
