UTAH UTES
Utah Football’s Top 5 Uniforms Of All Time

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The last decade, Utah Football has fulfilled fans, players and recruits hopes of venturing into a more diverse wardrobe for gameday. They have tinkered with different color schemes, without venturing too far astray from their iconic red, black and white combinations.
The top five uniforms for the University of Utah football team are-
5. The Dark Night Looms
Black helmets with a red jersey, black pants and black socks are one of the best uniform combinations Utah Football has had. The color combination clicks, it stands out and strikes fear in opposing teams. When the sun falls in the west, the bright lights of Rice Eccles Stadium glow and the Utes look for something to feast on, the dark tones of the black helmet and pants suffocate anything that gets in their way. This uniform usually makes an appearance around Halloween, for obvious reasons.

4. Ice In My Veins
Late in the college football season, snow starts to fall over Rice Eccles Stadium. When the Utes show up on gameday in their all-white look it brings light into a dark winter. A clean, fun and energetic feel to the uniforms generally brings the best out of the Utes. However, do not show up to RES as a visiting team trying to be fancy wearing white yourself, it generally does not work in your favor. You have been warned.

3. Red, White, Red
A classic look. Red helmets, white jerseys and red pants have become synonymous with the University of Utah. It is a hard combination to beat.

2. Throwback U
In the last handful of years, Utah’s equipment staff, with the help of Under Armor, have created some of the most unique throwback uniforms in college football. Last season, they went back to their roots and unveiled a 1966 themed throwback combination.
Grey helmets with the old-school inter-locking U’s stamped on the side. The interlocking U’s were also placed on the left sleeve while the other sleeve had the word “UTES” written on it. The large, bold white numbers on the front of the jersey make it easy for viewers to know who is who.
The color combination is a treat for the eyes.

1. All Red Everything
Nothing can beat the slick all-red look. Red cleats, red socks, red tights, red pants, red jersey and matte red helmets stand out more than any uniform combination in the past. It is a slick look, yet it is very intimidating. Every year the Utes wear this combination when facing their arch-rival BYU. A team they have not lost to since 2009. It has been over a decade.
