SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Brielle Money, the 15-year-old daughter to local celebrity Michelle Money has finally been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and has been relocated to the Neuroscience Trauma Unit (NTU) following a devastating skateboarding accident that nearly took her life.
Current boyfriend to Michelle Money, and former BYU and Masters Champion, Mike Weir, has been supporting his girlfriend and her daughter throughout this very difficult process.
Brielle’s father Ryan updated everybody on the situation on Easter Sunday.
“Brie had a big win today. She moved from the PICU (pediatric intensive care unit) to the NTU (Neuroscience Trauma Unit),” Ryan said in his Instagram post.
“She is doing so well!! Truly your prayers have been heard and are being answered. Your love, thoughts, spirit, positive energy are felt! We are so grateful for those of you who have invested in Brielle’s recovery. Anyone familiar with a TBI recovery knows that this is a sacred and special time. I’m not sure how many times I have cried today… Brielle has a road ahead of her and with as tough as she shown herself to be we have high hopes but also we have all the time and energy she needs from us,” Ryan added.
Weir, whose only major win came in the 2003 Masters, has been dating Money for a number of years.
Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances regarding the coronavirus crisis, only one guest is allowed in the hospital room at any given time. Michelle and Ryan Money (Brielle’s parents) have been splitting the time spent with their daughter. That leaves Weir on Chick-Fil-A duty.
