SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former PGA Tour Pro and 2003 Masters Champion, Mike Weir, has been helplessly hoping the condition of his girlfriend’s daughter improves. Finally, after weeks of stress and anxiety, Brielle Money is doing better.
After falling on a skateboard and hitting her head, Brielle was placed in a medically induced coma where she suffered a fractured skull and brain trauma.
On Wednesday, April 8 Mike Weir and girlfriend Michelle Money updated his followers on the status of Brielle.
“Brielle is waking up you guys. We have got her off of a lot of the sedatives, she is getting her bolt removed today. She is making movements. I played her favorite song in her ear and she tried to open her eyes, it was so incredible…I am just so relieved!” Michelle Money said.
A day later, on Thursday, Brielle’s father also gave a positive update on his Instagram account.
“Brielle is doing so well. She is off almost all of her IV medications,” Ryan Money states. “Brielle started moving and will raise her eyebrows when ‘yelled’ at or pinched…Her left side is definitely more responsive than her right side. She moves her left hand a lot and is getting some expressions in her face.”
Money, like Weir, is well known in Utah. She was a contestant on the hit TV show, “The Bachelor.”
Weir and Money are providing updates about Brielle’s condition via Instagram and Instagram Stories. Weir’s page can be found here. Money’s can be found here.
