SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Michelle Money’s daughter Brielle was in a skateboarding accident earlier this week and is now in intensive care according to an Instagram post from Money’s boyfriend, Mike Weir.
Weir, a BYU graduate and championship golfer, posted the news to Instagram with a photo of 15-year-old Brielle in the Primary Children’s ICU.
According to Money, Brielle is in a medically induced coma after suffering severe brain trauma and a fractured skull.
“As of this morning they are saying the swelling on her brain is moving in the right direction.” read Weir’s post, “We are hoping for the best and your thoughts and prayers are appreciated during this time.”
Later in the week, Weir posted a video of him and Money thanking everyone for their prayers.
“She’s in stable condition, she’s doing good,” said Money in the video.
On Thursday, Weir provided a solo update on Brielle’s condition.
“We are hoping she will be waking up within the next 48 hours. We are massively thankful to all of you and the amazing doctors and team,” read the post.
Money, like Weir, is well known in Utah. She was a contestant on the hit TV show, “The Bachelor.”
Weir is a Canadian golfer who graduated from BYU and currently resides in Draper, Utah. He won The Masters in 2003.
