SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz had many great plays in the month of December that could be some of the best plays of the season.
While the NBA and the entire sports world is on hiatus due to the coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic, SportsBeat is counting down the best plays of each month of the Jazz season.

10. Gobert Saves Ball To Bojan, Hits 3 Before Shot Clock vs. Blazers
Late in the fourth quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers on December 26, Rudy Gobert barely saved the ball from going out of bounds, tapping it to Bojan Bogdanovic who nailed a corner three-pointer.
Bogdanovic had 16 points in Utah’s 121-115 win.

9. Donovan Sweet Pass Starts Blender, Ends w/ Donovan 3 vs. Magic
A blender was started with a great pass by Donovan Mitchell on December 17 against the Orlando Magic. When the Orlando Magic defender attempted to stop him at the rim, Mitchell threw the ball in between two defenders to Bojan Bogdanovic in the corner, who passed to his right to Royce O’Neale on the angle, who passed it to Joe Ingles on the right angle, who fired it to Mitchell for a wide open three pointer.
Mitchell finished with 30 points in Utah’s 109-102 win over the Magic.

8. Gobert Blocks Lillard To Preserve Win vs. Blazers
In the final seconds of the game, Rudy Gobert blocked Damian Lillard’s shot at the rim to seal the 121-115 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on December 26.
Gobert posted 16 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

7. Gobert, Ingles Give-n-Go For Dunk vs. Grizzlies
Back on December 7, Joe Ingles and Rudy Gobert connected once again on a give-n-go. Gobert had the ball at the top of the key when he threw a beautiful bounce pass to Ingles who immediately passed back to a slashing Gobert who finished with an impressive two-handed dunk.
Gobert finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Ingles had 12 points and 10 assists in Utah’s 126-112 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

6. Donovan Hops Down Lane For dunk vs. Lakers
On December 4, Donovan Mitchell split two defenders with a giant hop and finished with a wide open dunk against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Mitchell had 29 points as the Jazz lost to the Lakers.

5. Donovan Dunk Over Nikola Vucevic
Donovan Mitchell decided to take the ball inside and used his athletic leaping ability and soared over Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic and finishing with a big dunk on December 17.
He finished with 30 points in Utah’s 109-102 win over the Magic.

4. Joe Ingles Buries Three, Blows Kiss vs. Hornets
Joe Ingles buried a three-pointer and turned to the Charlotte Hornets’ crowd and blew kisses towards them on December 21.
The forward received a pass from Utah guard Donovan Mitchell, rose up and nailed a corner three to give the Jazz 105-97 advantage with 5:22 left in the final quarter of the game.
Ingles dropped 14 points and 7 assists in the Jazz 114-107 road win over the Hornets.
3. Rudy Gobert Posterizes Meyers Leonard
On December 23, Rudy Gobert decided to throw down a one-handed dunk on top of Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard.
Joe Ingles went around a screen that was set by Gobert in the pick-and-roll, when Ingles entered the paint and dumped the ball off to Gobert, who dunked over Leonard with his right hand.
Gobert recorded 18 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks but the Jazz lost to the Heat, 107-104.

2. Donovan Behind The Back vs. T’Wolves
Mitchell threw down a violent one-handed slam dunk against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road on December 11.
The Jazz guard drove against Timberwolves forward Robert Covington. As he entered the paint, Mitchell wrapped the ball behind his back before going up high and forcefully throwing the ball through the rim.
Mitchell led the Jazz with 30 points and a 127-116 win.
1. Donovan Putback vs. Warriors
Mitchell bounced up to the rim after a Royce O’Neale miss to a spectacular putback dunk on December 13 at home against the Golden State Warriors.
After O’Neale missed a three-point jumper, Mitchell leaped into the air, caught the ball above the rim, and threw it through the cylinder for the left-handed putback jam.
Mitchell finished with 28 points as the Jazz pulled off a 114-106 win over the Warriors.
