NBA TV To Run Classic Jazz Games On John Stockton’s Birthday

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – NBA TV is running 5 games on Thursday that have significant importance to the Utah Jazz.
It also happens to be hall of fame point guard John Stockton’s birthday. The legendary Jazzman turned 58 years old.
The day on NBA TV began at 10 a.m. MT with the Jazz taking on the Spurs on January 15, 1991 where Utah picked up a 124-102 win over San Antonio. Stockton finished with 20 points, 28 assists and 8 steals.

At 12 p.m. MT, NBA TV will air the 1993 NBA All-Star Game that was held at the Delta Center. Both Stockton and Karl Malone were named co-MVP of the game. The NBA All-Star Game will return to Salt Lake City in 2023.
Up next at 2 p.m. MT, the Jazz game against the Denver Nuggets on February 1, 1995 will run with Utah running away with a blowout 129-88 victory. Stockton recorded 12 points and 16 assists in that game.
At 5 p.m. MT, the best game in Utah Jazz history will air on NBA TV. Game 6 of the 1997 Western Conference Finals where Stocton’s game-winning three-pointer sent the Jazz to the NBA Finals.
Finally, at 8 p.m. MT, Game 3 of the 1997 NBA Finals against the Chicago Bulls will air. The Jazz won the game 104-93 and won their first game of the series. Stockton had 17 points and 12 assists in the victory.
