PROVO, Utah – BYU Football head coach Kalani Sitake like the rest of us has a lot more time on his hands for activities like dancing and listening to Beyonce. With spring practices suspended and all activities within the BYU Athletic Department put on hold due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Sitake has more time to be with his wife Timberly and their three children.
That extra family time is going to good use as Sitake is fine-tuning his dancing skills. The fifth-year head coach has always been known to break out a dance move or two when given the opportunity after a big win or at a basketball game. But this latest dance with his daughter Sadie jumped Kalani’s dancing status to a whole new level.
Kalani and Sadie danced to the song “Countdown” by Beyonce and they probably made Queen Bey and her Beyhive proud.
The video was posted by The Dance Club located in Orem and the club is putting out a #WeAreFamily dance challenge for their students, which Sadie Sitake is a member. That dance by the Sitake’s might be a tough one for others to top.
Earlier this week Sitake spoke with the media and mentioned his kids have him dancing to TikTok videos.
“My kids got me doing it,” Sitake said. “It’s been really cool to see. Because I’m at home more, I’ve been able to spend more time getting to connect with everybody because I’m not a social media guy, but I’ve been able to see all different videos and check up on people and see how they’re doing. It’s been really cool for me to see and then and I sound like I’m really old I am but that that’s been a really cool adjustment. That’s one of the positives that I’ve seen.”
We can all agree it’s definitely a positive seeing Kalani and anyone for that matter spending this time at home being close with the ones that they love. Kalani and Sadie, keep bringing the good vibes!
