He had served Utah gymnastics co-head coach since 2016, learning from Marsden.
Marsden was a gymnast for the University of Utah from 1981-84 and won four national championships. As a coach, she led the Red Rocks to six national titles. Utah never missed a national championship in her 39 years with the program.
The Red Rocks were dominant under Marsden and it looks as if they will continue that dominance under coach Farden.
With the postponement of spring athletics in the Pac-12 due to the coronavirus pandemic the Pac-12 gymnastics championships were canceled along with the NCAA tournament.
