Harlan informs us that all weight room facilities are currently closed on campus, as only key essential personnel are the ones on site currently. For those student-athletes that need post-surgery rehab, they are working with their team’s physicians to get rehab appropriately. Mental health coaches are working remotely “and their overall wellness is being tended to in any way possible.”
Update On Senior Student-Athletes
As much speculation circulates surrounding the future of those senior student-athletes that had their senior season cut short due to the coronavirus, Harlan told fans that regardless of what the NCAA decides, the University will have plans in place to celebrate them regardless.
“Their seasons are not ending the way they had planned, but we will appropriately commemorate their time as Utes and express our gratitude and respect for the way they represented the University of Utah.”
Ticket Refunds, Football Ticket Renewal Deadline Extended
The University of Utah is refunding any ticket that has been purchased but will not be able to be of any use during these difficult times. They have also extended the due date for fans to renew their 2020 football season tickets, the new due date is now May 13th.
“The Crimson Club and Ticket Office staffs continue to be available to serve you and answer questions. Development Officers are available by phone and email, and Ticket Office staff is available by email and text in order to assist with season ticket renewals and parking permits in preparation for the 2020 football season.
