SANDY, Utah – The RSL Foundation has joined forces with Rio Tinto Stadium and Levy Foods to make a donation towards the Utah Food Bank due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thanks @UtahFoodBank for all you do in the community! They made it so easy to drop off our stadium donation. Donate to the Utah Food Bank online, where every dollar given creates $7.66 worth of goods and services.

On Wednesday, March 18, at 10 a.m., trucks will be loaded with food from Rio Tinto Stadium. The food that is being donated was intended to be used for upcoming Real Salt Lake matches, however, due to the suspension of the MLS season, the food will instead be donated to the Utah Food Bank.
On top of the food donation, the RSL Foundation is also donating $5,000. For each dollar donated to the Utah Food Bank, the food bank is able to gather roughly $7.66 of goods and services for Utahns facing hunger. The $5,000 donation from the RSL Foundation equates to roughly $38,300 in which the Utah Food Bank will be able to benefit from.
“In this difficult time that everyone is facing, we wanted to take the opportunity to help those in need. In delivering food that may have gone to waste to the Utah Food Bank, the RSL Foundation aims not only to help people affected by the pandemic, but also create awareness for a giving opportunity right here in our community,” RSL Foundation Executive Director Mary Van Minde said.
