Four SUU Players Score In Double Figures In Big Sky Tourney Win Over Idaho

BOISE, Idaho – Four Southern Utah players scored in double figures to lead the Thunderbirds past the Idaho Vandals in the first round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament.
The Thunderbirds and Vandals played at CenturyLink Arena on Wednesday, March 11.
Southern Utah’s Dre Marin, John Knight III, Cameron Oluyitan, and Andre Adams each scored 11 points or more to lead the T-Birds to a 75-69 win over Idaho.

Marin led SUU with 19 points on 5-10 shooting including 4-9 from distance. He added 2 rebounds and 4 assists in 36 minutes.
Knight III added 16 points on 5-11 field goals.
The Thunderbirds finished the game shooting 49.1 percent from the field including 41.2 percent on triples.
Idaho shot 42.6 percent overall and 37.5 percent from deep.
The Vandals were led by Trevon Allen’s 35 points.

With the win, Southern Utah advanced to the second round of the Big Sky tourney and will play the Northern Colorado Bears on Thursday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. (MDT).
