SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz forward Georges Niang’s play led Utah to back-to-back three-point field goals during the fourth quarter against the Toronto Raptors.
Niang and the Jazz hosted the Raptors at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Monday, March 9.
The backup forward connected on a 24-foot three-pointer to cut the Raptors’ lead to 82-75 with 9:33 remaining in the game. On Toronto’s following possession, Niang deflected a pass by Raptors guard Kyle Lowry. Jazz guard Mike Conley found Joe Ingles for a wide-open triple to cut Toronto’s advantage to 82-78 with 9:10 left to play. After Ingles’ shot, Toronto head coach Nick Nurse called timeout to regroup his team.

After the baskets, Niang had 8 points on 3-8 shooting and 2-5 from distance. Ingles had a bench-high 13 points on 5-9 field goals including 3-7 from the arc.
After struggling to see the ball through the cylinder for much of the game, Utah’s offense was given some life by the two three-point field goals.
Whoa! Would you look at the time.

The @UtahJazz are suddenly only down 82-78 after back to back threes from Niang and Ingles.
