Former BYU WR Colby Pearson Breaks Free For 80-Yard TD In Guardians’ XFL Game

ARLINGTON, Texas – Former BYU and current New York Guardians wide receiver Colby Pearson broke free for an 80-yard touchdown reception against the Dallas Renegades.
The Guardians and Renegades played at Globe Life Park on Saturday, March 7.
New York quarterback Louis Perez hit Pearson with a pass down the near sideline on 1st & 10 during the third quarter of the game. Pearson caught the ball and broke free from two defenders before running down the sideline for the 80-yard score.

Pearson’s TD put the Guardians up 18-6 with 3:31 remaining in the third quarter.
The former BYU wideout finished the game with 5 catches for 95 yards and the touchdown.
On the season, Pearson has 16 receptions for 223 yards and 2 touchdowns. His first touchdown came during the opening week of the XFL season.
New York went on to beat the Renegades 30-12. The Guardians own a 3-2 record this season.

Pearson and the Guardians’ next game is against the Houston Roughnecks on Saturday, March 14 at 12 p.m. (MDT).
