Reports: BYU Defensive Lineman Devin Kaufusi Enters Transfer Portal

PROVO, Utah – BYU defensive lineman and member of a Cougar legacy family, Devin Kaufusi entered college football’s transfer portal, according to SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic.
A junior in Provo, Kaufusi put his name in the transfer portal with the intent to explore moving from BYU to another school for his remaining collegiate eligibility.
The defensive lineman entered the portal following the first week of BYU football spring practices.
BYU defensive lineman Devin Kaufusi has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
His father coached at BYU and his mother is currently the mayor of Provo, Utah.

Kaufusi has play defensive line for the Cougars in the last two seasons. He’s played in 25 games for BYU. During his time on the field, Kaufusi has recorded 15 total tackles, 7 solo tackles, 1.0 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 2 pass breakups.
The defensive lineman followed in his older brothers’ footsteps when he joined the Cougars in 2018. Devin’s older brothers, Corbin and Bronson, each played their college careers at BYU. The patriarch of the Kaufusi family, Steve, coached on the BYU defensive staff from 2002-18.

Kaufusi still has the ability to leave the transfer portal and return to the Cougars.
