Salt Lake City Stars Clinch Playoff Berth With Win Over Iowa

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz G-League franchise, Salt Lake City Stars, clinched a postseason berth with a victory over the Iowa Wolves.
The Stars defeated the Wolves 102-98 for their 30th win of the 2019-20 season on Friday, March 6.
The result was the Stars’ six consecutive win. It also gave the team 30 wins in a season for the first time since the franchise relocated to Salt Lake City from Idaho before the 2016-17 season.
The organization last reached 30 wins in the 2008-09 season when they were known as the Idaho Stampede.

In Salt Lake City’s win over Iowa, Utah Jazz assignment player Rayjon Tucker scored 22 points while adding 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

Jazz two-way guard Justin Wright-Foreman poured in 20 points.
With the win, the Stars improved to a record of 30-12 on the season.
Salt Lake City is the second G-League team to qualify for the playoffs this season.
The Stars next game is against the Northern Arizona Suns on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on ESPN+.
