Mike Conley’s Best Game In Jazz Uniform Beats Celtics

BOSTON, Mass. – Mike Conley looked every bit the $32 million man the Utah Jazz expected when they acquired the veteran point guard in a 99-94 road win over the Boston Celtics. Conley carried the Jazz with 25 points, five assists, and three steals to lead the team to one of their most impressive wins of 2020 calendar year.
Conley was sharp from the opening tip, connecting on his first four shots of the game while the rest of the Jazz starters against the talented but shorthanded Celtics lineup. Boston was without former Jazzman Gordon Hayward who missed his second consecutive game with a knee contusion. Forward Jaylen Brown missed the game with a strained hamstring.
Outside of Conley, the Jazz starters struggled badly against the Celtics starting unit. Donovan Mitchell, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Royce O’Neale combined to shoot just 7-30 from the floor, including 6-21 from the floor.

Mitchell hit his first two attempts of the game in the first minutes and 43 seconds of the game but proceeded to miss 12 of his next 13 attempts over his 31 minutes of action.
