Utah Valley Struggles To Score In Regular Season Finale Loss To UMKC

OREM, Utah – The Utah Valley men’s basketball team struggled to put points on the scoreboard in their regular season finale against the UMKC Kangaroos.
The Wolverines hosted the Roos at UCCU Center in Orem on Thursday, March 5.
Utah Valley finished the game shooting 42.9 percent from the field including 25.0 percent from three which resulted in a 61-51 loss to UMKC.

The Wolverines had two players score in double figures against the Roos.
UVU guard Isaiah White scored 13 points on 4-5 field goals while Jamison Overton added 12 points off the bench.

UMKC shot 40.4 percent overall and 27.3 percent from the arc.
The Kangaroos were carried to victory by three players who scored in double figures.
UMKC’s Brandon McKissic scored a game-high 18 points on 8-14 shooting. Jordan Giles poured in 14 points and Franck Kamgain added 10 points.

With the loss, Utah Valley finished the regular season with a record of 11-19 overall and 5-10 in Western Athletic Conference games.
The Wolverines earned the No. 7 seed in the WAC Tournament.
UVU’s first matchup of the conference tournament will be against the No. 2 seed Cal Baptist Lancers on Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. (MDT).
