Utah State’s Neemias Queta Throws Down Alley-Oop Dunk Against New Mexico

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Utah State center Neemias Queta threw down a massive dunk on an alley-oop during the first half of the Aggies’ Mountain West Conference Tournament quarterfinals matchup with the New Mexico Lobos.
The Aggies and Lobos squared off at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Thursday, March 5.
After New Mexico buried a three-pointer to cut Utah State’s lead to two points, the Aggies responded with an Abel Porter lob pass to Neemias Queta for a thunderous dunk.

Queta’s jam stretched Utah State’s lead up to 31-27 and swung momentum back in the Aggies’ favor with 3:58 remaining in the first half.
The Aggies opened the game with an 18-5 run before the Lobos bounced back to tie the game late in the half.
At halftime, the Aggies and Lobos were tied at 33 points apiece.

USU guard Sam Merrill led the Aggies with 11 points on 5-10 shooting at the break.
Queta had 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist during the half. He spent a portion of the opening half on the bench with foul trouble. Queta committed three fouls during the first 20 minutes of game time.
New Mexico’s Jaquan Lyle scored 16 points on 6-10 field goals in the half.
