Aggies Start MWC Tourney Game Against Lobos With 18-5 Run

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Utah State men’s basketball began it’s first game of the 2020 Mountain West Conference Tournament with a 18-5 run against the New Mexico Lobos.
The Aggies and Lobos played at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on Thursday, March 5.
Utah State started the MWC tourney quarterfinal with an 18-5 run over the first 5:17 of game time.

The Aggies built the early lead by connecting on eight of their first nine shots from the field.

During the run, Utah State guard Sam Merrill scored 7 points. Merrill scored 5 of those points during the opening minute of the game.
Aggies forward Justin Bean added 4 points via a layup and a jumper.
