NEW YORK, N. Y. – Jazz center Rudy Gobert completed a three-point play on an alley-oop layup during the third quarter against the New York Knicks.

Gobert and the Jazz played against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, March 4.

Utah guard Donovan Mitchell found Gobert rolling towards the hoop and threw the Jazz center a lob. Gobert caught the pass and shot the ball off the glass for an alley-oop layup as he was being fouled by New York’s Julius Randle.

Gobert made the attempt from the charity stripe to complete the three-point play. The alley-oop and-one resulted in Utah owning an 86-76 lead with 2:11 left in the third quarter.

At the end of the quarter, the Jazz held a 93-78 advantage.

Gobert recorded a double-double through the first 36 minutes of game time. He had 16 points on 6-7 shooting and 12 rebounds. Gobert added an assist and a block during his first 27 minutes on the court.

Mitchell had 20 points, 1 rebound, and 6 assists including the lob pass. He added 2 steals during 27 minutes of play.

Utah was led in scoring by Bojan Bogdanovic’s 23 points on 7-12 field goals.

The Jazz went to the fourth quarter having shot 55.9 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from three.

The Knicks were limited to 48.5 percent shooting including 37.5 percent from the arc.

New York’s Julius Randle had 26 points through the first three quarters.

Utah vs. New York is broadcast on NBA League Pass, AT&T SportsNet, and 97.5 FM.
