PROVO, Utah – As one of the hottest teams in college basketball, BYU continues to rise up the AP Top 25 rankings. BYU is now ranked number 15 in the Week 18 Associated Press Top 25 poll, up two spots from last week’s number 17 ranking.
BYU completed the month of February with a perfect 8-0 record, the first time in program history the Cougars have gone perfect in the month of love. Head Coach Mark Pope loves how his team is continuing to get better every single day, which was a goal he had set out when he took the job last April replacing Dave Rose.

BYU has already concluded their regular season schedule and they finished with a 24-7 record and 13-3 in West Coast Conference play, the best mark since joining the WCC in 2011.
The next time BYU returns to action is next Monday in the semifinals of the West Coast Conference Tournament in Las Vegas. So BYU could move up in another set of Top 25 rankings next Monday without even playing a game depending on how the teams in front of them perform this week.
This past week, many teams in front of BYU in the rankings lost games. Number 2 ranked Baylor, No. 6 Florida St, No. 9 Maryland, No. 10 Creighton, No. 11 Louisville, No. 12 Villanova, No. 15 Auburn, and No. 16 Penn State all had setbacks. But it only resulted in moving up two spots in the rankings.
