No. 4 Utah Gymnastics Wins 2020 Pac-12 Regular Season Championship

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The No. 4 ranked Utah Gymnastics squad defeated the Washington Huskies to win the 2020 Pac-12 Championship for the regular season.
The Utes took down the Huskies 197.675-197.600 at the Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle on Sunday, March 1.
With the win, the Red Rocks remained undefeated on the season with two meets left on their regular season schedule.
“What a battle it was in Pac-12 gymnastics today,” said Utah head coach Tom Farden after the meet. “Winning the regular season title is very impressive because you have to be very consistent and bring it every week. To be the inaugural Pac-12 regular season champs is such an honor for our program.”

Missy Reinstadtler led Utah on bars after posting a score of 9.925 on her routine. The Red Rocks outscored Washington 49.300-49.050 on bars.

After the Bars, the Red Rocks competed on vault. Kim Tessen scored 9.925 to led Utah. The Utes defeated the Huskies on vault 98.525-98.475.

The Utes posted a season-high score of 49.550 on floor. Reinstadtler scored a career-high 9.975 with her routine.

Washington took a 148.125-148.075 lead over the Utes into the final rotation.

The Red Rocks’ next meet is against the Stanford Cardinal on Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m. (MDT).
