SALT LAKE CITY – The Mountain West Conference (MWC) Tournament this year is a week earlier than usual because of the CONEXPO-CON/AGG International Construction Trade Show that is taking place in the MWC’s usual weekend prior to Selection Sunday.
Despite being a week earlier, the MWC Tournament should have another entertaining field that features one of the nation’s top teams in San Diego State and Utah State who is looking to secure a bid in the NCAA Tournament.
Utah State enters the 2020 MWC Tournament as the defending champions. Last year, in Craig Smith’s first season as head coach, the Aggies secured the automatic NCAA Tournament bid by winning their first conference tournament title in eight years.
