SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Hall of Fame running back and the NFL’s all-time rushing leader Emmitt Smith was in Salt Lake City and decided to catch the Utah Jazz game against the Washington Wizards at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
Smith is in Utah because he is speaking at a convention for RootsTech on Saturday. The legend running back had 18.355 career rushing yards which is an NFL record.

The Jazz seem to attract celebrities when they are in the state for other obligations and have the time to attend a game. Last month, actor Ashton Kutcher was at the Jazz game when they beat the Dallas Mavericks 112-107 on January 25.
Entering the game against the Wizards, the Jazz are on a 4-game losing streak and is playing the final game of a five-game homestand at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
The RootsTech convention has had growing interest in the role that DNA is playing to better help people research their roots.
