Viral Video Shows Fan Calling Donovan Mitchell His Best Friend After Surgery

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A viral video on social media shows a young basketball fan calling Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell his best friend after undergoing wisdom teeth surgery.
The video shows the fan talking about his love for Mitchell shortly after coming out of surgery.
“He’s my best friend. I love Donovan,” said the fan. “He’s my best friend. I love him so much. He’s my best friend.”
The person recording the conversation asked how Mitchell was his best friend even though he’d never met the Jazzman.
“I play with him all the time,” the fan emotionally responded.

Mitchell replied to the viral video on Twitter and call the young fan “my new best friend” along with a red heart emoji and multiple emojis featuring a face with tears of joy.

Mitchell and the Jazz currently have a 36-22 record this season. Utah is currently in the midst of a four-game losing streak.
The Jazz returned to action against the Washington Wizards on Friday, February 27 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on NBA League Pass, AT&T SportsNet, and 97.5 FM.
