SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah Jazz and current Phoenix Suns point guard Ricky Rubio returned to Vivint Smart Home Arena for the first game against his former team.

Rubio and the Suns traveled to Utah to play the Jazz for the second time this season on Monday, February 20.

The former Jazz guard walked into the Salt Lake City arena wearing a Joe Ingles themed t-shirt.

During pregame warmups, Rubio sat next to former Jazz team Donovan Mitchell and coach Johnnie Bryant.

After a couple of seasons with the Jazz, Rubio signed with Phoenix during the 2019 offseason after Utah traded for point guard Mike Conley.

Rubio played 145 games for the Jazz from 2017-2019. During his time with the Jazz, the guard averaged 12.9 points and 5.7 assists per contest.

Monday’s matchup will be Rubio’s first game back in Utah since leaving the Jazz.

The Suns vs. Jazz game is set to tip-off on Monday, February 24 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on NBA League Pass, AT&T SportsNet, and 97.5 FM.
