Emmanuel Mudiay Ignites Life Into Jazz Offense With Second Half Run Against Spurs
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz backup guard Emmanuel Mudiay came into the game off the bench and provided some juice to a lifeless Utah offense against the San Antonio Spurs.
Mudiay and the Jazz hosted the Spurs at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Friday, February 21.
After trailing by 25 points late in the third quarter, Mudiay ignited Utah’s offense with 16 points off the bench during his first 12 minutes of play.

The Jazz backup helped the Jazz open the fourth quarter on a 9-3 run by making a pull-up jumper, a 25-foot triple, and a 15-foot jump shot to cut San Antonio’s advantage to 96-84 with 9:57 left in the game.
During his time the court, Mudiay scored his 16 points on 6-7 shooting including 1-1 from three and 3-3 from the foul stripe. He added 3 rebounds and 2 assists without committing a turnover. Mudiay posted a +6 plus-minus rating during his first 12 minutes of game time.
After the Mudiay-led run, the Jazz were shooting 45.8 percent from the field compared to 45.2 percent by the Spurs.
