Isaiah White’s 23 Points Not Enough As Utah Valley Falls To UT Rio Grande Valley

EDINBURG, Texas – Despite Isaiah White scoring 23 points, the Utah Valley Wolverines fell on the road to the UT Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros.
The Wolverines played the Vaqueros at UTRGV Fieldhouse in Edinburg, Texas on Thursday, February 13.
White led the Wolverines with 23 points on 7-17 shooting including 2-6 from three and 7-11 from the free-throw line. He added 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal in 36 minutes.

Three Utah Valley players scored in double figures against UT Rio Grande Valley including White.
UVU guards Brandon Averette and Casdon Jardine each scored 13 points in the loss.
The Wolverines finished the game shooting 46.7 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from behind the arc.
UT Rio Grande Valley shot 45.2 percent overall despite a dismal 15.4 percent from distance.
The Vaqueros had four players score in double figures led by Javon Levi’s 17 points.
With the win, UT Rio Grande Valley improved to 10-14 on the season and 6-5 in conference play.
Utah Valley fell to 9-16 on the season and 3-7 in Western Athletic Conference games.
