Gobert Throws Down Reverse Dunk On Alley-Oop From Ingles During Heat/Jazz Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a reverse slam dunk on an alley-oop pass from forward Joe Ingles during Utah’s game against the Miami Heat.
Utah hosted the Heat at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Wednesday, February 12.
Standing behind the three-point line, Ingles lobbed the ball towards Gobert who was standing under the basket with his back towards the hoop. Gobert caught the pass and threw down a reverse two-handed dunk with 31.4 seconds remaining in the first half.

Gobert’s dunk cut Miami’s lead to 52-47. The Heat would hold onto that advantage as time expired and the two teams went to their locker rooms for halftime.
The Jazz center finished the first half with 6 points on 3-6 field goals. Gobert added 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and two blocks during 18 minutes on the court. Gobert’s second block resulted in his 100th swat of the season.

The big man posted a +2 plus-minus rating during the first two quarters of play.
Utah finished the first half shooting 45.0 percent overall and 26.3 percent from deep.
Miami went to the break having shot 43.5 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from behind the arc.
The Heat were carried to a five-point halftime lead by Jimmy Butler’s 14 points and Duncan Robinson’s 12 points.
