HOUSTON, Texas – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell made three three-point shots during the first quarter between Utah and the Houston Rockets.
The Jazz traveled to play the Rockets at the Toyota Center on Sunday, February 9.
Mitchell opened the game by connecting on a corner three 19 seconds in the game to give the Jazz an early 3-0 lead.

The Jazz guard’s next made field goal from beyond the arc came from 25-feet out to cut Houston’s advantage to 19-15 with 4:47 left in the quarter.

26 seconds later, Mitchell drilled another shot from distance to make the Rockets’ lead 19-18 with 4:21 remaining in the first quarter.
Mitchell finished the first twelve minutes of the game with 9 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, and 1 turnover in 9 minutes on the court. He shot 3-5 overall and 3-4 from three.
Utah shotΒ 45.5 percent on field goals andΒ 41.7 percent from downtown in the opening quarter.
Houston led 33-25 as the two teams went to their benches at the end of the first 12 minutes of game time.

Russell Westbrook shot 8-11 on field goals for 17 points to lead the Rockets. After missing his first three attempts, the Houston guard connected on his next eight shots.
