Harding Becomes Wildcats’ All-Time Leading Scorer In Win Over Sacramento State

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State guard Jerrick Harding scored 44 points on his way to becoming the Wildcat’s all-time leading scorer in the team’s victory of the Sacramento State Hornets.
The Wildcats hosted the Hornets at Dee Events Center on Thursday, February 6.
Harding led Weber State to a 70-66 win over Sacramento State on his historic night.
He dropped 25 of his 44 points in the first half including a fadeaway jumper with four seconds left in the first half. The jump shot pushed the Wildcats guard to the top of Weber State’s all-state scoring list.

The guard passed former Weber State star Jeremy Senglin who wrapped up his collegiate playing career after the 2016-17 season. Senglin scored 2,078 points in a Wildcats uniform.
Harding has scored 2,099 points since arriving at Weber State in 2016-17.

He finished the win over Sacramento State shooting 14-21 overall, 5-10 from behind the arc, and 11-11 from the foul stripe. Harding added 1 rebound and 2 steals in the victory.
Weber State ended the game shooting 53.5 percent from the field including 43.8 percent from three.
Sacramento State shot 41.8 percent for the game and 40.0 percent on triples.
Hornets guard Izayah Mauriohooho-Le’afa scored 22 points on 6-8 field goals including 5-7 from downtown.
The Hornets fell to 11-10 overall and 4-8 in conference games.
The Wildcats improved to 9-14 on the season and 5-7 in Big Sky Conference play.

Weber State returns to the court against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Saturday, February 8 at 7 p.m. (MDT). The Wildcats fell to the Lumberjacks 72-64 in the first meeting of the season on January 4.
