Conley Buries Three Shots From Downtown In First Quarter Against Nuggets

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Mike Conley connected on three consecutive three-point shots during the opening quarter of Utah’s game against the Denver Nuggets.
Conley and the Jazz hosted the Nuggets at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Wednesday, February 5.
The Jazz guard buried three straight triples during a 1:25 stretch during the first quarter of the game between Utah and Denver.

First, Conley drilled a 25-foot jumper with 5:43 left in the quarter to give Utah a 16-11 lead.
35 seconds later, the guard made a 24-foot shot from behind the arc to give the Jazz a 19-13 advantage with 5:08 left in the first.
The next triple by Conley came from 25-feet out to stretch Utah’s lead to 22-13 with 4:18 remaining in the opening quarter.

Conley led all scorers with 10 points in the first quarter. He shot 3-4 overall and 1-2 from the free-throw line. He added 1 rebound and a steal during his first nine minutes on the floor. Conley tied for a team-high plus-minus rating of +7 in the first quarter.
The Jazz shot 50.0 percent and 53.8 percent from three during the first 12 minutes of game time. Utah went 7-13 on shots from behind the arc.

Denver shot 43.5 percent overall and 20.0 percent from three.
Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 8 points in the first 12 minutes of the game.
The Jazz led 32-25 as the two teams went to the bench in preparation for the second quarter.
