Gobert Throws Down Lob From Ingles To Open Game Against Nuggets

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz center Rudy Gobert threw down a slam dunk on an alley-oop from forward Joe Ingles in the opening minutes of Utah’s game against the Denver Nuggets.
The Jazz hosted the Nuggets at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Wednesday, February 5.
After a missed shot by the Nuggets, Ingles pushed the ball down the court on a fast break. Gobert ran ahead of the Denver defense and rose up to slam a pass from Ingles to give the cut the Nuggets’ lead to 7-6 with 8:08 remaining in the first quarter.

The Stifle Tower shot 3-4 on field goals for 6 points, 2 rebounds during his first six minutes on the court.
Monte Morris and Nikola Jokic combined for Denver’s first nine points of the game.
The Jazz started the game shooting 40 percent overall and 25 percent from three.
Utah held a 10-9 lead with 6:26 left in the opening quarter.
This is the second meeting between the Jazz and Nuggets this season. Denver defeated Utah 106-100 in the Mile High City on January 3o.
