SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Every basketball player and team whether it’s high school, college or the NBA has found a way in some fashion to honor Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. The coaches in the NBA are doing the same thing in their own way.

Throughout the week since the passing of Bryant and 8 others, who tragically died in a Helicopter crash on Sunday morning in Southern California, NBA coaches have been wearing Kobe shoes rather than their normal dress shoes.

Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder sported a pair of Kobe’s during the Jazz game against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night.

Snyder spent one season 2011-12 as an assistant coach with the Lakers while Kobe was still playing.

On the other side of the floor was Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone who also wore a pair of Kobe sneakers. Players from around the league have been writing messages on their shoes, drawing 24-second shot clock violations and 8-second backcourt violations among other things to honor Bryant and the 8 others lost in the crash.

When the Jazz played their first home game since the tragedy on Monday, they held a moment of silence along with the Jazz and Houston Rockets committing clock violations.
