SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Rayjon Tucker from the Utah Jazz has requested to be invited to the dunk contest, per his Twitter account.

Tucker, who was acquired on December 24, 2019, who is averaging 1.5 points, 0.9 rebounds, and, 0.2 assists coming off the bench, has showcased his dunking ability in the past.

In 2015, Tucker and current Jazz teammate Donovan Mitchell competed in a high school dunk contest. It was eye-opening.

Despite being just 6 foot 3 inches, the North Carolina native does not fear the rim. Instead, he attacks it.

Current Dunk Contest Commitments

There are only three committed players that have agreed to join the 2020 Dunk Contest thus far. Dwight Howard, Derrick Jones Jr. and, Aaron Gordon are the three players that have confirmed their spots. Ja Morant had declined the invitation, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

During last years 2019 All-Star Weekend, there were only four players that competed in the Slam Dunk contest. Suggesting that in 2020, only one more spot is up for grabs.
