Tooele High Hosting ‘Red Out’ Basketball Game In Support Of Grantsville

TOOELE, Utah – Tooele High School hosted a “Red Out” event in support of the nearby Grantsville community during its basketball game against Stansbury.
On Wednesday, January 29 Tooele raised $1734.30 and the administration added to make it $2000.00 for the Haynie family.
The student governments from Tooele and Stansbury planned the “Red Out” event to support the Grantsville community which recently lost four members of its community in a tragic shooting. The victims were members of the same family.
Grantsville High School is located 10 miles from Tooele High School.
The Buffaloes traditionally wear the color purple but have asked that those who attend Wednesday’s game wear the color red which is Grantsville High’s primary color.
Before the game, the Buffaloes’ student government will host the Stansbury High student government for a dinner.
During halftime of the game, Tooele High will run a “Miracle Minute” activity to collect money that will be donated to the Grantsville family.
Tooele enters the game with a 9-9 record on the season. The Buffaloes are fresh off of 63-55 win over Ogden on January 24.
Stansbury visits the Buffaloes with a 12-5 record. The Stallions are currently on a three-game winning streak.
Tip-off between the Buffaloes and Stallions is scheduled for 7 p.m. (MDT) on Wednesday, January 29 at the Tooele High School gymnasium.
