“With the untimely and unexpected passing of the great Kobe Bryant,” the petition reads, “please sign this petition in an attempt to immortalize him forever as the new NBA Logo.”
So far, the cause has garnered 2,090,912 signatures and is growing by the second.
My original goal was to merely get one hundred signatures I didnβt expect anything to come out of this. Less than a day later we now have over 250,000 signatures ππ pic.twitter.com/VsWlRVNYGS

The current NBA logo features Lakers legend Jerry West, who is still alive and could, in theory, grant he NBA permission to change the logo.
