Harding’s Big Night Put Wildcats On Top Of Grizzlies In Overtime

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State guard Jerrick Harding’s big night led the Wildcats to a comeback victory over the Montana Grizzlies in overtime.

The Wildcats hosted the back-to-back Big Sky Conference champion Grizzlies at the Dee Events Center on Saturday, January 25.

Harding torched Montana’s defense for 32 points on 10-19 shooting including 5-9 from three-point range. The Weber State guard added seven points to his total from 100 percent shooting at the foul line. Harding added 4 rebounds and 3 assists while only committing one turnover on the night.

Harding became the third player in Weber State men’s basketball history to eclipse 2,000 points in their college career.

Weber State’s Cody John and Michal Kozak helped Harding carry the offensive load against the Grizzlies. John poured in 19 points on 6-14 field goals. Kozak added 18 points on 5-9 shooting.

The Wildcats shot 47.4 percent overall and a blazing 50 percent from behind the arc.

Montana fell in Ogden despite forces 11 Wildcat turnovers and shooting 49.3 percent for the game.

The Grizzlies fell to 11-9 on the season and 7-2 in Big Sky Conference play.

Weber State improved to 7-13 overall and 3-6 in conference games.

The Wildcats travel to in-state Southern Utah on Thursday, January 30. Weber State and SUU tip-off at 7 p.m. (MDT).
