SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell threw down a nasty putback dunk in the second quarter against the Dallas Mavericks.
Mitchell was driving into the lane when he floated up a shot and missed, but he jumped up over Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis and dunked the ball with his right hand.
That dunk fired up the Jazz and put them within 8 points, 53-45 with 4:32 remaining until the halftime break.
The Jazz rallied back and finished the first half down by three points. Mitchell finished the first 24 minutes of action with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. He shot 4-12 from the field and 2-6 from beyond the arc.
