Utah DL Anae Sacks Oklahoma QB Hurts On Back-To-Back Plays At Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. – Former Utah Utes defensive lineman and Bradlee Anae sacked former Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts on back-to-back plays in the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Anae tackled Hurts twice in the backfield during the second quarter of the Senior Bowl game on Saturday, January 25. Anae was a member of the North team during the all-star game.
The former Ute first took Hurts down to the turf on 2nd & 10 for a loss of 3 yards to the South 49-yard line with 11:32 left on the clock until halftime. On the following play, Anae broke into the backfield again and dropped Hurts for a loss of three yards. The back-to-back sacks forced the South team to punt.

Anae Forces INT
The North squad threw an interception of their next possession sending Anae and the South defense back onto the field.
On the first play of the drive, Anae rushed Hurts and hit him as he threw the football. The inaccurate throw was intercepted by South defender Malik Harrison.

Midway through the second quarter, the game was tied at 7-7.
During the 2019 season, Anae led the Utes with 41 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, and a forced fumble.
The Reese’s Senior Bowl is an event featuring college football seniors and early entrants of the NFL Draft.
The North vs. South Senior Bowl game is broadcast on NFL Network.
