Tony Finau Sits Six Shots Behind Leader Following Day Two Of Farmers Insurance Open

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau is still in contention following the second day of the Farmers Insurance Open after yet another two under par round. For the second consecutive day, Finau finished two under par and six shots behind the tournament leader Ryan Palmer.
Finau played the North Course at Torrey Pines on day two after playing the South on day one. He teed off on hole 10 with Ted Potter Jr. and Dyan Frittelli. The North Course is playing 1.28 strokes easier than the South.
He went par, par, par on 10, 11, 12 before bogeying the 13th hole and finding himself +1. Holes 14 and 17 were kind to Finau who found himself at one-under at the turn.
Finau’s back nine got off to a splendid start following his birdie at 1. However, two bogeys and two birdies later, Finau would eventually post a two-under round.

The leader, Ryan Palmer, posted 11 birdies on day two. His only bogey coming on 18. Regardless, a 10 under round put the American atop the Farmers Insurance Leaderboard as the players who made the cut focus on the weekend.
Other notable players who sit close to the top are Brandt Snedeker (-8), J.B. Holmes (-7), Patrick Reed (-6), Colin Morikawa (-5), Jon Rahm (-5), and Tiger Woods (-3).
