SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – University of Utah offensive coordinator, Andy Ludwig, has been linked to a move to Baylor University. Baylor’s former head coach, Matt Rhule, was recently hired by the Carolina Panthers following the firing of longtime Panthers head coach Ron Rivera.
Former LSU coordinator, Dave Aranda, was named head coach of Baylor late Thursday afternoon.

According to Matt Mosley from ESPN 1660, a local Waco, Texas radio station, Aranda will target Andy Ludwig as his offensive coordinator.
There ya go. I'm being told Aranda would target Bill Busch as DC and Andy Ludwig at OC. Much more to come. https://t.co/L6Da7niebZ

Aranda and Ludwig’s relationship dates back to 2013 when both coaches were on the Wisconsin coaching staff under now Utah State head coach, Gary Anderson. Aranda was the defensive coordinator while Ludwig acted as the offensive coordinator.
The reported OC target, Andy Ludwig, was at Utah this year, Vandy before that (including for our bowl against them), and Wisconsin before that, where he worked with Aranda. Utah was 16th in offensive SP+ this season according to @ESPN_BillC.

Prior to his second stint at Utah, Ludwig acted as the offensive coordinator at Vanderbilt for four seasons. He had two-year stops at Wisconsin, San Diego State, and California where he also acted as offensive coordinator. Ludwig has been a play-caller since 1997 when Cal Poly handed over their offensive reigns to him.
If Ludwig does end up leaving the Utes for a second time, Kyle Whittingham would be looking to hire his 10th OC in just 12 years.
