Harding’s 19 Points Not Enough As Weber State Loses Third Straight

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Weber State guard Jerrick Harding’s 19 points against the Sacramento State Hornets weren’t enough to prevent the Wildcats from suffering their third straight loss.
Weber State fell to the Hornets at the Nest in Sacramento on Saturday, January 11.
Harding scored 19 points on 7-16 shooting including 2-5 from three to lead the Wildcats in their 71-57 loss at Sacramento State.

Weber State hasn’t won a game since the turn over of the new year. The Wildcats have fallen to Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, and Sacramento State in 2020.
After starting Big Sky Conference play 1-1, the Wildcats have lost three conference games in a row and haven’t won since December 30 when they beat Idaho 69-68.
The Wildcats struggled to score against the Hornets and shot 39.2 percent on field goals and dismal 18.2 percent from behind the arc.
Michal Kozak and Tim Fuller each scored 12 points for the Wildcats. Cody John added 11 points.

Sacramento State was led by Ethan Esposito’s 17 points on 50 percent shooting.
The Wildcats fell to 5-11 on the season and 1-4 in conference play with the 14 point loss.

Sacramento State improved to 10-4 overall and 3-2 in the Big Sky.
Weber State continues a three-game road trip against the Idaho State Bengals. The Wildcats travel to Pocatello to play the Bengals on Thursday, January 16 at 7 p.m. (MDT).
