SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake has announced plans for its 2020 preseason, prior to the first MLS game on February 29th.

The Claret and Cobalt, under new head coach Freddy Juarez, will begin their 2020 campaign on familiar turf in Herriman, Utah starting January 18th. They will then travel to Phoenix, Arizona on January 26 for one week before returning on February 1.

The second stint in Herriman will occur from February 2 and run through the 11th before the team departs for Arizona for a second time, however, this stint will take place in Tuscon. During the 12-day trip to Tuscon, RSL will compete in the 2020 Visit Tuscon Sun Cup where they will play three matches between February 15-22. On February 15, RSL will kick off their first of three pre-season matches against the New York Red Bulls, before facing Colombus Crew SC on February 19. Finally, the last pre-season game will take place on February 22, some seven days prior to their MLS season opener, against USL Championship side Phoenix Rising FC.

RSL’s first two matches during the Visit Tuscon Sun Cup will be held at Kino North Stadium while the final match against the Phoenix Rising will be held at Casino Arizona Field in Scottsdale.

RSL’s first MLS regular-season game takes place on February 29 against Orlando City SC away from home. Their first home game will be on March 7 against the New York Red Bulls.
