NEW ORLEANS, La. – Former BYU quarterback and New Orleans Saints “do it all” player Taysom Hill has been the spark that the Saints have needed in the NFC Wildcard game against the Minnesota Vikings.
On first and 10, Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw a pass to Hill for a 20-yard touchdown. Hill lined up as an outside wide receiver and ran down the sideline and the running back baited Vikings safety Harrison Smith, who was originally covering Hill and the former Cougar was open in the end zone.
It was the seventh touchdown catch of the season for Hill, who had six TD catches during the regular season. The score by Hill cut the Vikings lead to 20-17 with 10:37 remaining in the fourth quarter.
On the next drive, Hill took a direct snap and ran the ball 28 yards.
It's Taysom's world and we're all just livin' in it.
