Utah State Struggles Offensively In Upset Loss To UNLV

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Utah State Aggies struggled on the offensive end of the floor in their 70-53 loss to the UNLV Rebels.
The loss snaps a 12-game conference winning streak for the Aggies, which includes the Mountain West Conference Tournament last season.
Utah State shot 17-52 from the field for 32 percent and just 2-19 from the three point line.

Justin Bean led the Aggies with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Sam Merrill posted 10 points on 2-6 shooting from the floor and 0-4 from beyond the arc. They were the only two players to score in double figures.
Utah State was without big man Neemias Queta, who was out with an injury.
UNLV shot 44 percent from the field and 5-19 from downtown. They outrebounded Utah State 41-29. Bryce Hamilton led all scorers with 20 points on 9-11 shooting from the floor. Amauri Hardy added 14 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Former Ute Donnie Tillman chipped in 6 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks.
The Aggies drop their overall record to 13-3 and a 2-1 mark in Mountain West Conference play. They have a big one on Saturday when they host No. 13 San Diego State at the Spectrum. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
