Utah Valley Starters Combine For 69 Points In Win Over Antelope Valley

OREM, Utah – The starting lineup for the Utah Valley men’s basketball team combined for 69 points to defeat the Antelope Valley Pioneers.
The Wolverine starters outscored the entire UAV squad at the UCCU Center on Saturday, December 28.
UVU starters Brandon Averette, Casdon Jardine, TJ Washington, and Isaiah White all scored in double figures while Emmanuel Olojakpoke added five points in the Wolverines’ 80-65 win over the Pioneers.

Averette led the Wolverines with 19 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists. He shot 7-10 on field goals including 1-3 on three-pointers. He was a perfect 4-4 from the free throw stripe.

Utah Valley shot 51 percent from the field and 38.1 percent from behind the arc. The Wolverines’ defense limited the Pioneers to 38.5 percent on field goals and 23.1 percent from downtown.

The Pioneers were led by Ronnie Rousseau III’s 18 points on 8-20 shooting. Rousseau posted 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
UVU improved to 6-9 on the season and 3-3 in Orem.
The Wolverines head on the road to play Chicago State on Thursday, January 2 at 6:05 p.m. (MDT).
