Aggies Finish Non-Conference Schedule With Blowout Win Over Eastern Oregon

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies finished the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 129-61 victory over Eastern Oregon inside the Spectrum.
The Aggies played nine players and eight of them scored in double figures. They were led by Brock Miller with 25 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists, shot 8-15 from the field and 4-9 from downtown. Kuba Karwowski, Alphonso Anderson and Justin Bean each scored 16 points apiece. Bean had another double-double with 12 rebounds. Sean Bairstow added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Roche Grootfaam contributed 13 points, with both Abel Porter and Trevin Dorius posting 12 points apiece.
Diogo Brito was the only player to appear in the game but not score in double figures. He recorded 5 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists, while shooting 1-5 from the field and 0-2 from downtown.
Utah State didn’t play Sam Merrill or Neemias Queta in order to give them rest for conference play.

The game wasn’t really close throughout as the Aggies took a 66-30 lead into the halftime break and outscored Eastern Oregon 63-29 in the second half. As a team, Utah State shot 58 percent from the field, 39 percent from beyond the arc and went 28-36 from the free throw line. They outrebounded Eastern Oregon 63-24 and posted 59 bench points.
Utah State improved their record to 13-2 and will return to Mountain West Conference action on New Year’s Day to face UNLV on the road. Tip-off is at 9 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
